Meysydd Bethlem sydd yn cofio Anthem yr angylion gynt; Ac mae sŵn yr anthem honno Eto'n aros yn y gwynt; "Ganwyd i chwi heddyw Geidwad," Deffro ddaear, clyw y llef; Cenadwri gras a chariad, Dyna salm felysa'r nef. Curodd Brenin y Brenhinoedd Wrth gauedig borth y dre; Ond i Arglwydd Dduw y lluoedd Yn y llety nid oedd lle; Heddyw yn Ei wyneb siriol Hawdd i'r byd yw llawenhau; Yn Ei erbyn, Geidwad grasol, Na foed calon neb yng nghau. Awn i Fethlem â'n tresorau, Tynnwn at y preseb tlawd; Canwn, canwn ein telynau I roesawu Dwyfol Frawd; Mae tywynion hen fwriadau Tragwyddoldeb yn Ei bryd; Awn, a bwriwn ein coronau Wrth Ei draed, Waredwr byd.Evan Rees (Dyfed) 1850-1923 [Mesur: 8787D] |
The fields of Bethelehem are remebering The anthem of the angels of old; And the sound of that anthem is Still waiting on the wind; "Born for you today is a Saviour," Awaken earth, hear the cry; The message of grace and love, That is the sweetest psalm of heaven. The King of Kings beat At the closed gates of the town; But to the Lord God of hosts In the lodgings there was no room; Today in his cheerful face Easy for the world is rejoicing; Against Him, a gracious Saviour, Let no-one's heart be closed. Let us go to Bethlehem with our treasures, Let us draw towards the poor manger; Let us play, play our harps To welcome a Divine Brother; There are the shinings of old, eternal Purposes in His face; Let us go, and let us cast our crowns At His feet, the world's Deliverer.tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
