Mi glywais lais yr Iesu'n dweud (Tyrd ataf fi yn awr)

I heard the voice of Jesus say

Mi glywais lais yr Iesu'n dweud,
  "Tyrd ataf fi yn awr,
Flinderog un, cei ar fy mron
  Roi pwys dy ben i lawr"
Mi ddeuthum at yr Iesu cu,
  Yn llwythog, dan fy nghlwyf;
Gorffwysfa gefais ynddo Ef,
  A dedwydd, dedwydd wyf.

Mi glywais lais yr Iesu'n dweud,
  "Mae gennyf fi yn rhad
Y dyfroedd byw, sychedig un,
  O'u profi cei iachâd"
At Iesu ddaethum, profi wnes
  O'r ffrydiau sy'n bywhau;
Fy syched ddarfu – ynddo Ef
  'Rwy'n byw dan lawenhau.

Mi glywais lais yr Iesu'n dweud,
  "Goleuni'r byd wyf fi;
Tro arnaf d'olwg, tyr y wawr
  A dydd y fydd i ti."
At Iesu ddaethum, ac Efe
  Fy haul a'm seren yw;
Yng ngolau'r bywyd rhodio wnaf
  Nes dod I gatre Nuw.

  Mi glywais lais yr Iesu'n dweyd (Tyrd ataf yr awr hon)

I heard the voice of Jesus saying,
  "Come to me now,
Exhausted one, thou wilt get on my breast
  To put the weight of thy head down."
I came to dear Jesus,
  Burdened, under my sickness;
A resting-place I got in Him,
  And happy, happy am I.

I heard the voice of Jesus saying,
  "There is with me freely
The living water, thirsty one,
  By tasting it thou wilt get wholeness."
To Jesus I came, taste I did
  From the streams that are reviving;
My thirst disappeared - in Him
  I am living under rejoicing.

I heard the voice of Jesus saying,
  "The light of the world am I;
Turn upon me thy gaze, the dawn shall break
  And day it shall be to thee."
To Jesus I came, and He
  My sun and my star is;
In the light of life walk I shall
  Until coming to God's home.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion
I heard the voice of Jesus say,
  "Come unto Me and rest;
Lay down, thou weary one, lay down
  Thy head upon My breast."
I came to Jesus as I was,
  Weary and worn and sad;
I found in Him a resting place,
  And He has made me glad.

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
  "Behold, I freely give
The living water; thirsty one,
  Stoop down, and drink, and live."
I came to Jesus, and I drank
  Of that life giving stream;
My thirst was quenched, my soul revived,
  And now I live in Him.

I heard the voice of Jesus say,
 "I am this dark world's Light;
Look unto Me, thy morn shall rise,
  And all thy day be bright."
I looked to Jesus, and I found
  In Him my Star, my Sun;
And in that light of life I'll walk,
  Till traveling days are done.
