Molwch yr Arglwydd, can's da yw, Moliennwch Dduw y Llywydd; Can's ei drugaredd oddi fry A bery yn dragywydd. Molwch chwi Dduw y duwiau'n rhwydd, Ac Arglwydd yr arglwyddi; Hwn unig a wnaeth wyrthiau mawr: Trwy ei ddirfawr ddaioni. Yr hwn wnaeth oleuadau mawr O'r nef hyd lawr â'i fawredd; Yr haul y dydd, a'r lloer y nos, I ddangos ei drugaredd. Dug Isräel i'r lan yn wych, Mewn hyfryd ddrych gorfoledd; Ysgytiodd'y gelynol lu, A hyn fu o'i drugaredd. Hwn yn ein cystudd cofiodd ni, O'i fawr ddaioni tirion, Ac a'n hachubodd yn ddiswrth Oddi wrth ein holl elynion.Edmwnd Prys 1544-1623

Praise the Lord, for he is good, Extol God the governor; For his mercy from above Shall endure in eternity. Praise ye the God of gods readily, And the Lord of lords; He alone has done great wonders: Through his enormous goodness. He it is made the great lights From heaven down to earth with his greatness; The sun of the day, and the moon of the night, To show his mercy. He led Israel up wonderfully, In a delightful condition of jubilation; He shook the enemy host, And this was from his mercy. He in our affliction remembered us, Of his great, tender mercy, And saved us swiftly From all our enemies.tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
