Mor fawr yw'r gwynfyd gedwi fry, O Dduw, i'r sawl yn d'ofni sy! Mor dda wyt ti i bawb trwy'r byd A geisiant nawdd dy aden glyd! Eu dirgel guddio wnai o'th ras, Rhag beilchion byd, cynhennus cas; Fel mewn rhyw freiniol babell fawr Y cuddi hwynt bob munud awr. Chwi seintiau cu, ar dir a môr, O cerwch oll yr Arglwydd Iôr; Ei ffyddlon bobl eu cadw mae, Tra daW ei lid ar anwar rai. Cymmerwch mwy galondid da, A'ch calon ofnus fe'i cryfhâ; Chwychwi'n gobeithio ynddo sydd Am nawdd a nerth yn ol eich dydd.Casgliad o Salmau a Hymnau (Daniel Rees) 1831 [Mesur: MH 8888] |
How great is the blessedness thou wilt get above, O God, for those who are fearing thee! How good art thou to all throughout the world Who seek the protection of thy cosy wing! Hide them secretly thou dost of thy grace, From the contentious, detestable, proud ones of the world; As in some great royal tent Thou wilt hide them every minute of an hour. Ye dear Saints, on land and sea, O love ye all the Sovereign Lord; His faithful people, keeping them he is, While his wrath comes on savage ones. Take heart all the more, And your fearful hearts he will strengthen; Ye who are hoping in him For protection and strength according to your day.tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
19 How great thy mercies are to such as fear thy Name, Which thou, for those that trust thy care, dost to the world proclaim! 20 Thou keep'st them in thy sight, from proud oppressors free; From tongues that do in strife delight they are preserved by thee. 23 O all ye saints, the Lord with eager love pursue; Who to the just will help afford, and give the proud their due. 24 Ye that on God rely, courageously proceed: For he will still your hearts supply with strength in time of need.N Tate & N Brady A New Version of the Psalms of David in Metre 1696 |
