Mor gref yw'th Fraich alluog Dduw

How strong thine arm is mighty God

(Gweithredoedd Moses a'r Oen)
Mor gref yw'th fraich alluog Dduw!
O pwy nid ofnei'th enw gwiw?
  Iesu, mor felus yw dy ras!
  O pwy na charei'r Oen
      a'i dras?

Gwnaeth mwy na Moses,
    hen was Duw,
Ein Prophwyd mawr a'n Brenin yw;
  Gwaredodd ni o uffern gaeth,
  A dysgu'n genau i ganu wnaeth.

Yn y Môr Coch trwy Foses bu
I'r Aiphtiaid foddi a'u holl lu;
  Ond gwaed yr Oen
      sy'n cuddio'n bai,
  A boddi'n holl euogrwydd mae.

A manna porthwyd Israel gynt,
Pan trwy'r anialwch 'r oedd eu hynt;
  Ond Iesu bortha'n henaid byw,
  A'i gnawd ef, Bara bywiol yw.

Moses o bell y gwelodd e'
Wlad Canaan,
    heb fyn'd byth i'r lle;
  Ond Crist a ddwg i'r nef bob un
  O'i bobl gyd âg ef ei hun.

Yma'n llawenydd fydd yn llawn,
A theimlo fflam wresoccach cawn;
  A chanu'n beraidd iawn heb boen
  Gân Moses byth
    a chân yr Oen.

(The actions of Moses and the Lamb)
How strong is thy arm, mighty God!
O who will not fear thy worthy name?
  Jesus, how sweet is thy grace!
  O who will not love the Lamb
      and his lineage?

He did more than Moses,
    the old servant of God,
Our great Prophet and our King he is;
  He delivered us from captive hell,
  And teach our mouths to sing he did.

In the Red Sea through Moses were
The Egyptians drowning and all their host;
  But the blood of the Lamb
      is covering our fault,
  And drowning all our guilt it is.

With manna Israel was fed of old,
When through the desert was their course;
  But Jesus will feed our living soul,
  With his flesh, the living Bread he is.

Moses from afar saw
The land of Canaan,
    without ever going to the place;
  But Christ will take to heaven every one
  Of his people with him himself.

Here our joy will be full,
And to feel a warmer flame we shall get;
  And to sing very sweetly without pain
  The song of Moses forever
      and the song of the Lamb.
tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion
(The works of Moses and the Lamb, Rev. 15. 3.)
How strong thine arm is, mighty God,
  Who would not fear thy Name!
Jesus, how sweet thy graces are!
  Who would not
      love the Lamb!

He has done more
    than Moses did,
  Our Prophet and our King;
From bonds of hell he freed our souls,
  And taught our lips to sing.

In the Red-sea by Moses' hand
  Th' Egyptian host was drown'd;
But his own blood
    hides all our sins,
  And guilt no more is found.

When thro' the desert Israel went,
  With manna they were fed;
Our Lord invites us to his flesh,
  And calls it living bread.

Moses beheld the promis'd land,
  Yet never
      reach'd the place;
But Christ shall bring his followers home
  To see his Father's face.

Then shall our love and joy be full,
  And feel a warmer flame;
And sweeter voices tune the song
  Of Moses and
      the Lamb.
