Na foed im' warth na g'wradwydd chwaith

(Salm XXXI. Rhan I: 1-3, 5.
Ymddiried yn Nuw am noddfa)
Na foed im' warth na g'wradwydd chwaith,
  Fy ngobaith wyt, fy Nuw;
Yn dy gyfiawnder gwared fi,
   A'm cri o'r nefoedd clyw.

Tro attaf, Iôr, dy glust ar frys,
  O'th nefol lŷs i lawr;
Bydd imi'n gadarn graig yn siwr,
  A thŵr i'm cadw'n awr.

Fy nghastell cryf o hyd, a'm craig,
  Rhag llid y ddraig wyt ti;
Er mwyn dy enw mawr dilŷs,
  Tra fyddwyf tywys fi.

Fy yspryd ddodaf yn dy law,
  Tra fo im' fraw na chûr;
Ti'm prynaist i, fel byddwn byw,
  O Dduw'r gwirionedd pur.

  Rhan II - Mor fawr yw'r gwynfyd gedwi fry

(Psalm 31. Part 1: 1-3, 5.
Trusting in God for refuge)
Let me get no scorn nor shame either,
  My hope art thou, my God;
In thy righteousness deliver me,
  And my cry hear thou from heaven.

Turn to me, Lord, thy ear quickly,
  Down from thy heavenly court;
Be to me a firm, sure rock,
  And a tower to keep me now.

My strong castle always, and my rock,
  Against the wrath of the dragon art thou;
For the sake of thy great, unfailing name,
  While ever I am, lead thou me.

My spirit I put in thy hand,
  While I have terror or pain;
Thou didst redeem me, that I might live,
  O God of the pure truth.
tr. 2018 Richard B Gillion
