O am ysbryd/yspryd i weddïo

O am ysbryd i weddïo, -
  Byw dan geisio Iesu gwiw,
Gorsedd gras yw ne'r credadyn,
  Ar ei ddeulin gyda ei Dduw;
Arglwydd cu, rho i mi 
Anian ceisio genyt ti. 

Cydymbiliwn ar ein gliniau
  Am weniadau'r Ysbryd Glân,
O! am deimlo yn bresennol
  Bur effeithiau'r nefol dân:
Rho'wn ein llef, tua'r nef,
Am ei arg'oeddiadau ef.

O for a spirit to pray -
  To live while seeking worthy Jesus,
The throne of grace is the believer's heaven,
  On his knees with his God;
Dear Lord, give to me
A nature of seeking thee.

Petitioning together on our knees
  For the smiles of the Holy Spirit,
Oh to feel presently
  The pure effects of the heavenly fire:
Let us give our cry, towards heaven,
For his convictions.
