O Geidwad dyn yn wyneb tân a lli

(Tyr'd yn nês)
O! Geidwad dyn,
    yn wyneb tân a lli,
  Dy geisio wnawn;
O thrown yn ôl,
    a chefnu arnat Ti,
  At bwy yr awn?
Rho inni hedd
    Dy gwmni diystaen,
A moes Dy law i'n tywys yn y blaen.

Felysed oedd Dy ymweliadau gynt,
  O! Iesu mawr;
A gras y nef
    ar lif y dwyfol wynt
  Yn d'od i lawr;
Rho eto brawf o'th bresenoldeb Di,
Na âd i'r oes anghofio Calfari.

Mae'r byd yn oer, a Seion yn llescau,
  O! tyr'd yn nês;
Mae'r nos yn hir,
    a'r t'w'llwch yn dyfnhau,
  O! tyr'd yn nês;
Mae'th wên yn haul,
    a digon yw i ni,
A'r nos yn ffoi yn Dy gymdeithas Di.

O! tyr'd i mewn, od yw y drws yng nghau
  Gan ofnau blin;
Nac oeda'n hwy, ond gâd i'th braidd fwynhau
  Dy ddwyfol rin;
I'th gorlan fwyn, yn gariad ac yn wres,
Er mwyn Dy Groes, O! Geidwad, tyr'd yn nês.

(Draw near)
O Saviour of man,
    in the face of fire and flood,
  We seek thee;
O we shall not turn back,
    nor turn our backs on thee,
  To whom shall we go?
Grant us the peace
    of thy unblemished company,
And give thy hand to lead us in front.

Thy former visits were so sweet,
  O great Jesus!
And the grace of heaven
    on the flow of the divine wind
  Coming down;
Grant again an experience of thy presence,
Do not let the age forget Calvary.

The world is cold, and Zion growing feeble,
  O draw near!
The night is long,
    and the darkness deepening,
  O draw near!
Thy smile is a sun,
    and it is sufficient for us,
And the night fleeing in thy company.

O come in, though the door be locked
  By grievous fears;
Delay no longer, but let thy flock enjoy
  Thy divine merit;
To thy tender fold, in love and in warmth,
For the sake of thy cross,
    O Saviour, draw near!
