O gwelwn gariad Iesu mâd, Yn gadael gorsedd fawr ei Dad! Cariad gymhellodd, Gymhellodd Ior y ne' I roi ei einioes yn ein lle. Henfych, Immanuel, Immanuel, Duw a dyn; Rhown foliant iddo yn gytun. I ben Calfaria, chwewaf loes, Fe ga'dd ei arwain at y groes: Fel Oen difeius, Difeius gerbron Duw, Dyoddefodd felldith dynolruw. Eli, lama sabachthani? "Paham, fy Nuw, gadewaist fi?" "Paham, f'Anwylyd? F'Anwylyd," medd y Tad, "I ddyn gael iachwdwriaeth rad." Y Tad â mawr hyfrydwch mae Yn peri'r nefoedd lawenhau; "Fy Mab sy'n dyfod, Sy'n dyfod adre'n ol, A'r euog leidyr yn ei gôl." Rhoed yn y bedd ein Ceidwad cu, Dan ddwylaw oerion angau dû; Bu ran o dridiau, O dridiau yn y bedd, I godi'i had i fyd o hedd. Ond wele! bore'r trydydd dydd Y daeth ein Prynwr mawr yn rhydd; A'i holl elynion, Ei 'lynion sydd dan glwy'; Nis gallant godi'u penau mwy. Dyrchefwch, byrth y nefoedd fawr, I dderbyn Brenin nef a llawr; Mae'n dyfod adre', Yn dyfod adre' i fyw, Y rhad Waredwr dynolryw. Yn awr mae'r nefoedd oll ar dân Yn cydfoliannu, fawr a mân, Y Sanctaidd Drindod, Y Drindod yn gytun, Am agor dôr i gadw dyn.John Bryan 1776-1856 [Mesur: 88578+568] |
O let us see the love of good Jesus, Leaving the great throne of his Father! Love compelled, Compelled the Lord of heaven To give his life in our place. Hail, Immanuel, Immanuel, God and man; Let us render praise to him in agreement. To Calvary's summit, bitterest anguish, He was led to the cross: Like a Lamb faultless, Faultless before God, He suffered the curse of humankind. Eli, lama sabachthani? "Why, my God, didst thou forsake me?" "Why, my Beloved? My Beloved," says the Father, "For man to get free salvation." The Father with great delight is Causing the heavens to rejoice; "My Son is coming, Is coming back home, With the guilty thief in his bosom." Our dear Saviour was put in the grave, Under the cold hands of death; It was the portion of three days, Of three days in the grave, To raise his see to a world of peace. But see the morning of the third day! When our great Redeemer came free; With all his enemies, His enemies under a wound; They cannot raise their heads any more. Rise up, ye gates of the great heavens, To receive the King of heaven and earth; He is coming home, Coming home to live, The gracious Deliverer of humankind. Now the heavens are all on fire Rejoicing together, great and small, The Sacred Trinity, The Trinity in agreement, For opening the door to save man.tr. 2021 Richard B Gillion |
