O gwrando 'nghri fy nefol Dad yn awr

(Llef y Pererin)
O gwrando 'nghri fy nefol Dad yn awr,
  A chlwy fy llef;
'R wy'n ofni'r glyn,
    a nerth y storom fawr,
  Wrth ddod i'r nef:
Fe ymlid gwên dy annwyl ŵyneb Di
Yn llwyr o'm bron bob ofn,
    wrth groesi'r lli.

Mae ofnau fil
    yn llaw 'nghalon wan,
  O! gwrando 'nghri;
Mae niwl y glyn
    o gylch y nefol lan,
  Rho nerth i mi:
Dilea'r ofn, rho olau imi'n awr
I ddod i mewn i foli Iesu mawr.

Â'i gariad Ef yn trigo ym fy mron
  I'm cynnal i,
Mor dda fydd cael yr Iesu ar y don,
  Wrth groesi'r lli:
Caf ganu mwy,
    a thelyn yn fy llaw,
Uwch gofid byd,
    am byth yr ochor draw.

(The Cry of the Pilgrim)
O listen to my cry, my heavenly Father now,
  And hear my call;
I am fearing the vale,
    and the strength of the great storm,
  While coming to heaven:
Thy dear face chases
Completely from my breast every fear,
    while crossing the flood.

There are a thousand fears
    in the hand of my weak heart,
  O listen to my cry;
The fog of the vale is
    around the heavenly shore,
  Give strength to me:
Remove the fear, give light to me now
To come in to praise great Jesus.

With his love dwelling in my breast
  To support me,
How good shall be having Jesus on the wave,
  While crossing the flood:
I shall get to sing for evermore,
    with a harp in my hand,
Above the world's grief,
    forever on yonder side.
