O Iesu'r Archoffeiriad mawr

("Gosod fi megys sel ar dy galon.")
O Iesu'r Archoffeiriad mawr,
Rho'm henw ar dy fraich i lawr;
  Rho eilwaith, mewn llythrenau clir,
  Ef ar dy ddwyfron sanctaidd, bur:

Fel deued arna'i bob rhyw dro
Fyth gallwy' fod o fewn dy go',
  Na byddo arna' i unrhyw faich
  Ond 'fyddo yn pwyso ar dy fraich.

Na bo na phoen, na
    chystudd, nwyf,
Na phrofedigaeth fyth na chlwyf,
  Na dim ochneidiau, na dim cur,
  Ond pwyso ar dy galon bur.

Fel gallwy' i fyth yn sicir fod
Yn briod ffyddlon tan dy nod;
  Ac na bo unrhyw ofon mwy
  Yn dirgel yn rhoi imi glwy'.

A gwna fy nghariad innau'n rhydd
I redeg atat Ti bob dydd;
  A gwisgo'th enw sanctaidd, llon,
  Fel seren ddisglair ar fy mron.

A dod fy nghalon wag yn llawn
O'th gariad peraidd fore a nawn;
  Câr dithau finnau yn ddi-drai,
  A'r undeb yma fyth barhau.

Fel, pan ddel arnaf bob rhyw dro,
Fyth gallwyf fod o fewn dy go';
  Na byddo arnaf unrhyw faich,
  Ond fyddo'n pwyso ar dy fraich.

  Rhan II - Ti'r Archoffeiriad mawr ei ddawn

("Set me as a seal upon thy heart.")
O Jesus, the great High Priest,
Put my name down on thy arm;
  Put it a second time, in clear letters,
  On thy pure, holy breasts:

Thus may it come upon me some time
Never can I be within thy memory,
  Nor be there upon me any burden
  Unless it be leaning on thy arm.

Be there neither pain, nor
    affliction, passion,
Nor ever trial nor wound,
  Nor any groans, nor any stroke,
  But leaning on thy pure heart.

Thus may I ever surely be
A faithful spouse under thy mark;
  That that there be no fear any more
  Secretly give me any wound.

And make my own love free
To run towards thee every day;
  And wear thy sacred, cheerful name,
  Like a shining star on my breast.

And may my empty heart become full
Of thy perfect love morning and evening;
  May I love thee unebbingly,
  And this union forever endure.

                - - - - -

O Jesus, thou great High Priest,
Put my name down upon thy arm;
  Put it again, in clear letters,
  Upon thy holy, pure breast:
That, when some turn comes upon me,
Forever I can be within thy memory;
  Be there no burden at all upon me,
  Unless it be leaning on thy arm.

O make my own love free
To run towards thee every day;
  And wear thy holy, cheerful name,
  Like a shining star upon my breast;
And may my empty heart become full
Of thy sweet love, morning and evening
  Thou lovest me unebbingly:
  And may this union endure forever!
