O mor hyfryd yn y nefoedd, Fydd cael gwe'd gwrthddrychau ffydd, Gwel'd yr Iesu'r hwn fu farw, Er ein prynu ni yn rhydd. Ië clywed 'r Hwn a dd'wedodd "Caffed plant ddod ataf fi," Eto'n dwyed yn ngwydd angelion, Groesaw blant i'r nefoedd fry. O mor hyfryd fydd cael gweled Hen broffwydi gynt a fu, Gwel'd duwiolion yr hen oesau, Yn nhrigfanau'r nefoedd fry, Gwel'd y ddinas ddisglaer sanctaidd, A'i heolydd o aur pur; A chael byth ei chyfaneddu, Yn berffaith iach heb boen na chur. Cawn gyfarfod a chyfeillion Gynt fu yma yn ein plith. Plant a rhiaint ail gofleidiant, Trigant fyda'u gilydd byth. Ni gawn glywed mwyn beroriaeth, Ar delynau aur y nef; Saint, Angelion a cherubiaid, Yn cydganu "Iddo Ef."Eleazar Roberts 1825-1912 Y Delyn Aur 1868 Tôn [8787D]: O Mor Hyfryd Yn Y Nefoedd (<1868) |
O how delightful in heaven It shall be to see the objects of faith, To see Jesus, him who died, In order to redeem us free. Yes, hear him who said "Let children come to me," Still say in the presence of angels, Welcome children to heaven above. O how delightful shall be getting to see Old prophets who once were, Seeing the godly ones of the old ages, In the dwellings of heaven above, Seeing the radiant, sacred city, With its streets of pure gold; And getting forever to inhabit it, Perfectly whole without pain or wound. We shall get to meet with companions Who once were here in our midst. Children and parents shall embrace again, They shall dwell with each other forever. We shall get to hear sweet music, On the golden harps of heaven; Saints, angels and cherubim, Singing in chorus "Unto Him."tr. 2021 Richard B Gillion |
