O pwy welaf dan yr hoelion?

O! pwy welaf dan yr hoelion,
  Rhwng y lladron ar y pren,
Ac yn gwaeddi maes, gorphenwyd,
  Gan ogwydd ' lawr ei ben?
    Iesu'n gorphen,
  Gwaith y prynedigaeth mawr.

Fe ddioddefodd ei archolli,
  Do, gan waith ei law ei hun;
Moliant iddo am ei gariad,
  Tuag at syrthiedig ddyn;
    Canwn iddo,
  Ddyddiau trag'wyddoldeb maith.

O whom do I see under the nails,
  Between the thieves on the tree,
And shouting out, "It is finished,"
  While bowing down his head?
    Jesus, finishing
  The work of the great redemption.

He suffered his wounds,
  Yes, by the work of his own hand;
Praise to him for his love,
  Toward fallen man;
    Let us sing unto him,
  All the days of a vast eternity.
