O c'od fy enaid cu

Arise my soul arise

1,(2,3),4.
(O Dad, maddeu iddynt.)
  O! c'od, fy enaid cu!
    Anadla tua'r lan;
  Yr Aberth gwaedlyd sy
    'N ymddangos ar dy ran:
Gwel Iesu o flaen yr orsedd draw;
'Rwy'n argraffedig ar ei law.

  Pum archoll gafodd ef
    Ar fynydd Calfari;
  Mae'r rhai'n âg uchel lef
    Yn dadlu drosof fi;
A gwaeddi maent, "O maddeu, Dad;
'Nawr arbed, wele werth fy ngwaed!"

  Ei weddi ef gerllaw
    Wrandewir gan y Tad;
  Ni fedr Duw droi draw
    Erfyniau'i anwyl Fab;
Ateb y mae i'r gwaedlyd friw,
A d'weyd fy ngeni i o Dduw.

  Cymodwyd fi â Duw,
    'Rwy'n blentyn iddo Ef;
  Ei lais maddeuol, gwiw,
    Roes imi hawl i'r nef:
'Rwyf gyda hyder dinacâd
Yn gallu llefain, Abba, Dad!
âg uchel lef :: ar uchel lef
Erfyniau'i :: Person ei
Cymodwyd fi â Duw :: Cymmodir 'nawr fy Nuw

(O Father, forgive them.)
  O arise, my dear soul!
    Aspire upwards;
  The bleeding Sacrifice is
    Appearing on thy behalf:
See Jesus before the throne yonder;
I am imprinted on his hand.

  Five wounds he got
    On mount Calvary;
  Those, with a loud cry are
    Pleading for me;
And shouting they are, "O forgive, Father;
Save now, see the worth of my blood!"

  His prayer nearby
    Is heard by the Father;
  God cannot turn away
    The pleadings of his beloved Son;
Answering is the bloody wound,
And saying I am born of God.

  I was reconciled to God,
    I am a child to Him;
  His forgiving, worthy voice,
    Gave me a right to heaven:
I am with persistent boldness
Able to cry, Abba, Father!

tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion

  Arise, my soul, arise,
    Shake off thy guilty fears;
  The bleeding sacrifice
    On my behalf appears:
Before the throne my surety stands;
My name is written on his hands.

  Five bleeding wounds He bears;
    Received on Calvary;
  They pour effectual prayers;
    They strongly plead for me:
"Forgive him, O forgive," they cry,
"Nor let that ransomed sinner die!"

  The Father hears Him pray,
    His dear anointed One;
  He cannot turn away,
    The presence of His Son;
His Spirit answers to the blood,
And tells me I am born of God.

  My God is reconciled,
    His pardoning voice I hear;
  My God is satisfied,
    I can no longer fear:
With confidence I now draw nigh,
And "Father, Abba Father," cry.
