O Dduw meddiana'n glau

(Ymgyflwyniad i Dduw)
O Dduw! meddiana'n glau
  Gyneddfau f'enaid byw,
A boed i'm calon byth barhau
  I garu Iesu gwiw.

'Rwy'n rhoi fy hun yn lân,
  A'r cyfan iddo Ef:
Mae f'enaid gwan yn toddi dan
  Ei drist a'i chwerw lef.

Myfi nis gallaf mwy
  Ymgadw'n hwy heb roi
Fy hunan oll i'w farwol glwy',
  O'm calon 'rwy'n ymroi.
Llyfr Tonau ac Emynau (Stephen a Jones) 1868

Tôn [MB 6686]: Aylesbury (Salmydd Chetham 1718)

(Commitment to God)
O God possess quickly
The dispositions of my livng soul,
And may my heart forever continue
  To love worthy Jesus.

I am giving myself completely,
  And the whole to Him:
My weak soul is sinking under
Its sad and its bitter cry.

As for me I can no more
  Remain any longer without giving
All of myself to the mortal wound,
From my heart I am devoting myself.
tr. 2014 Richard B Gillion
