O Dduw, mor eang yw dy glod, Mor hynod yw dy waith, I'w wel'd yn amlwg is y nen, Ac yn yr wybren faith! Fe draetha lloer a ser dy nerth, A'th brydferth law heb gudd; Ac ynddynt mae anfeidrol Fôd I'w ganfod nos a dydd. Ar holl gre'duriaid daear faith Mae dy lafurwaith, Ior: Mae d'enw mewn llyth'renau clir I'w wel'd ar dir a môr. Ond yn nhrefniadau UN yn DRI I achub euog fyd, Cyfiawnder a thrugaredd sy Yn ymgusanu 'nghyd. Tôn [MC 8686]: St Peter's (A R Reinagle 1799-1877) |
O God, how wide is thy esteem, How notable is thy work, Seen evidently below the sky, And in the vast firmament! The moon and stars expound thy strength, And thy beautiful hand unconcealed; And in them an immeasurable Being Is found night and day. On all the creatures of a vast earth Is thy handiwork, Lord: Thy name is in clear letters Seen on land and sea. But in the arrangements of ONE in THREE To save a guilty world, Righteousness and mercy are Kissing each other. |
O God, how wide Thy glory shines! How high Thy wonders rise! Known through the earth by thousnd signs, By thousands through the skies. Those mighty orbs proclaim Thy power; Their motions speak Thy skill; And on the wings of every hour We read Thy patience still. But when we view Thy strange design To save rebellious worms, Where vengrance and compassion join In their divinest forms: Here Thy bright character is known, Nor dare a creature guess Which of the glories brighest shine, - The justice, or the grace. Now the full glories of the Lamb Adorn the heavenly throne, While saints on earth that know His name, Their Lord and Saviour own. How blest are we who have a part In that immortal song! Wonder and joy become our heart, And praise and thanks our tongue. brightest shine :: brighter shone
