O ddydd i ddydd o awr i awr

O ddydd i ddydd, o awr i awr,
'Rwyn nes i'r trag'wyddoldeb mawr;
  Ac yno byddaf cyn bo hir -
  O, am gael etifeddu'r gwir.

O groes i groes, o dòn i dòn,
Ymadaw wnaf a'r fuchedd hon;
  Yn fuan âf
      i byrth y bedd -
  O, am gyrhaeddyd gwlad yr hedd.

O nerth i nerth,
    o daith i daith,
Ymlwybraf trwy'r anialwch maith;
  Nid yw'r Iorddonen ddim yn mhell -
  O, am gyrhaeddyd gwlad sydd well!

O dorf i dorf, o gâd i gâd,
A brwydro'n hir
    â'r ddraig a'i hâd,
  Daw'r frwydr olaf
      tua'r hwyr;
  O, am gael buddugoliaeth lwyr!

O gûr i gûr, o loes i loes,
Rhyw haint o hyd
    i chwerwi f'oes;
  Daw'r olaf cyn pen gronyn bach -
  O, am gael bod yn berffaith iach!

O fryn i fryn, o bant i bant,
Hwn ydyw llwybr blin y plant;
  Daw diwedd
      ar y lludded llawn -
  O, am gael gorphwys tawel iawn.

From day to day, from hour to hour,
I am nearer to the great eternity;
  And there I shall be before long -
  O, to get to inherit truly.

From cross to cross, from wave to wave,
Leave I shall this way of life;
  Soon I shall go
      to the portals of the grave -
  O, to reach the land of peace.

From strength to strength,
    from journey to journey,
I will make my way through the vast desert;
  The Jordan is not far -
  O, to reach the land that is better!

From crowd to crowd, from battle to battle,
And to battle long
    with the dragon and his seed,
  The last battle will come
      towards the evening;
  O, to get to a complete victory!

From ache to ache, from anguish to anguish,
Some disease always
    to make bitter my lifespan;
  The last will come in a little while -
  O, to get to be perfectly whole!

From hill to hill, from hollow to hollow,
This is the weary path of the children;
  The end shall come
      on the fully exhausted -
  O, to get very quiet rest!

From day to day, from hour to hour,
I come, O Jesus, by Thy power,
  To Thee and my eternal home,
  Where love and joy will banish gloom.

From cross to cross, from wave to wave,
All pain and woe behind I leave,
  To gain the
      everlasting spring,
  At Thy right hand to praise and sing.

From strength to strength,
    from space to space,
I come, depending on Thy grace;
  I soon shall at the Jordan stand,
  And weep for joy to see the land.














Each day, each hour, each cross, and wave,
Will bring me soon beyond the grave;
  Where days, nor hours,
      nor woe, nor pain,
  Can never touch my soul again.
