O dyma'r dydd penodol yw

(Y Sabboth)
O dyma'r dydd, penodol yw,
  I'w gadw i Dduw yn unig;
Y Sabboth glān, rhown ynddo glod
  I'r Drindod fendigedig.

Hwn ydyw'r dydd gorphwysodd Duw
  Oddiwrth bob amryw orchwyl;
A dyma'r dydd cyfododd Crist,
  Na fyddwn drist, rai anwyl.
Llyfr Tonau ac Emynau (Stephen & Jones) 1868

Tôn [MS 8787]: Ely (Thomas Turton 1780-1864)

(The Sabbath)
O here is the day, appointed it is,
  To be kept for God alone;
The holy Sabbath, let us give in it praise
  To the blessed Trinity.

This the day God rested
  From every kind of task;
And here is the day Christ arose,
  Let us not be sad, beloved ones.
tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion
