O praise the name of the Lord of heaven; Ye his servants praise him! Those who stand at his house and his gates, To our God and his great wonder sing! Praised be the good name Of Jehovah from the sun's rising; Extol ye Him throughthe day totally, And until the evening sunset. Praise the Lord for he is good; To the living Lord belongs praise: Sing his praise across the whole world, And delightful is the theme. For great is the Lord in his court, I know this most assuredly; Far above all of the small gods, Is the Holy Lord and his power. For bestow his judgment on his people, Does the steadfast, righteous Lord; And in all his pure governance, He will be merciful towards his servants. To be blessed forever is the Master's great name, From old Zion, whom we would revere: To be blessed, to be praised be his name, Who lives in Jerusalem. 1 O Praise the Lord with one consent, and magnify his name; Let all the servants of the Lord his worthy praise proclaim. 2 Praise him all ye that in his house attend with constant care; With those that to his outmost courts with humble zeal repair. 3 For this our truest int'rest is, glad hymns of praise to sing; And with loud songs to bless his name, a most delightful thing. 5 That God is great we often have by glad experience found; And seen how he with wondrous pow'r above all gods is crowned. 14 For God shall soon his people's cause with pitying eyes survey; Repent him of his wrath, and turn his kindled rage away. 21 Let all with thanks his wondrous works in Zion's courts proclaim; Let them in Salem, where he dwells, exalt his holy name.
