O nefol Dad o'th gariad

We pray thee heavenly Father

O nefol Dad, o'th gariad,
  Yn rasol clyw ein cri,
A thywallt ar dy deulu
  Eneiniad oddi fry;
Fel, yn y cariad hwnnw,
  Y gallom yn ddi-drist,
Gyflwyno mewn sancteiddrwydd
  Offeren Iesu Grist.

O Iesu ein Harweinydd,
  A'n Ceidwad, cynnal ni,
Er mwyn in ddyfod atat -
  Yr unig Ffordd wyt ti,
Ti, hefyd, y Gwirionedd,
  Addewaist gymorth hael,
Ffynhonnell bywyd bythol,
  A Bwyd pererin gwael.

O Ysbryd, y Bywiawdwr,
  Fe'n seliwyd gennyt ti,
Adfywia ein grasusau,
  Goleua'n twyllwch ni;
Nes gallu, mewn gorfoledd,
  Trwy rin dy fendith fawr,
Ymborthi ar y Bara
  O'r nef a ddaeth i lawr.

O Drindod o Bersonau!
  O Undod Dwyfol fry!
Gan lwyr ymddiried ynot,
  Nesawn o'th flaen yn hy;
Annheilwng yn ein gwendid,
  Ein gobaith ydwyt ti,
A thrwy dy rad faddeuant
  Diflanna'n hofnau ni.

O heavenly Father, of thy love,
  Graciously hear our cry,
And pour upon thy family
  An anointing from above;
That, in that love,
  We may without sadness,
Present in sacredness
  The Sacrament of Jesus Christ.

O Jesus our Leader,
  And our Saviour, support us,
That we may come to thee -
  The only Way art thou,
Thou, also, the Truth,
  Thou didst promise generous help,
The Spring of everlasting life,
  And the Food of a poor pilgrim.

O Spirit, the Enlivener,
  We are sealed by thee,
Revive our graces,
  Lighten our darkness;
Until we can, in jubilation,
  Through the merit of thy great blessing,
Feed on the Bread
  Which came down from heaven.

O Trinity of Persons!
  O Divine Unity above!
By trusting completely in thee,
  Let us draw near before thee boldly;
Unworthy in our weakness,
  Our hope art thou,
And through thy gracious forgiveness
  Make our fears vanish.
tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion
We pray Thee, heavenly Father,
    to hear us in Thy love,
And pour upon Thy children
    the unction from above;
  That so in love abiding,
      from all defilement free,
  We may in pureness offer
      our Eucharist to Thee.

Be Thou our guide and helper,
    O Jesu Christ, we pray;
So may we well approach Thee,
    if Thou wilt be the way:
  Thou, very truth, hast promised
      to help us in our strife,
  Food of the weary pilgrim,
      eternal source of life.

And Thou, Creator Spirit,
    look on us, we are Thine;
Renew us in Thy graces,
    upon our darkness shine;
  That, with Thy benediction,
      upon our souls outpoured,
  We may receive in gladness
      the body of the Lord.

O Trinity of Persons!
    O Unity most high!
On Thee alone relying
    Thy servants would draw nigh;
  Unworthy in our weakness,
      on Thee our hope is stayed,
  And blest by Thy forgiveness
      we will not be afraid.
