Paid â'n gadael, annwyl Iesu,
  Yn amddifaid yn y byd:
Er i gâr a chyfaill gefnu
  Yr wyt Ti yr un o hyd:
Paid â'n gadael yn y rhyfel,
  Dysg i'n dwylo drin y cledd;
Ti sy'n gwneud y storm yn dawel,
  Ti sy'n rhoddi perffaith hedd.

Paid â'n gadael, annwyl Iesu,
  Os cynydda'n golud ni,
Rhag i elw'r byd ein dallu
  I'th hawddgarwch dwyfol Di:
Paid â'n gadael yn ein trallod,
  Wedi'n siomi gan y byd:
Dangos inni dygyfamod
  Sydd yn dal yr un o hyd.

Paid â'n gadael, annwyl Iesu,
  Yn nhrofeydd yr anial maith,
Rhag i bwysau'r groes ein llethu,
  Rhag in gefnu ar dy waith:
Paid â'n gadael, Geidwad tirion,
  Pan ddaw'r nos i doi y glyn:
Yn nghymanfa'r gwaredigion
  Molwn Di ar Seion fryn.

Do not leave us, beloved Jesus,
  As orphans in the world:
Though relative and friend turn their backs
  Thou art the same always:
Do not leave us in the war,
  Teach our hands the handling of the sword;
It is Thou dost make the storm quiet,
  Thou who dost give perfect peace.

Do not leave us, beloved Jesus,
  If our wealth increases,
Lest the income of the world blind us
  To Thy divine beauty:
Do not leave us in our trouble,
  Having been disappointed by the world:
Show us Thy covenant
  Which holds the same always.

Do not leave us, beloved Jesus,
  In the turnings of the vast desert,
Lest the weights of the cross overcome us,
  Lest we turn our backs on thy work:
Do not leave us, tender Saviour,
  When the night comes to roof the vale:
In the assembly of the delivered
  We shall praise Thee on Zion hill.
