Pa'm? pwy O Dduw sy genyf fi?

Pa'm? pwy, O Dduw, sy genyf fi,
  Ond tydi yn y nefoedd?
Dim ni ddymunwn gyda thi,
  Wrth weini daear leoedd.

Fy nghalon i, a'm nerth, a'm cnawd,
  Y sydd mewn palldawd beunydd;
Ond tydi, Dduw, sydd ar fy rhan,
  A'm tarian yn dragywydd.

Mi ddeuaf nes-nes at fy Nuw,
  Fy ngobaith yw i'm calon,
Y traethaf fi ei nerth a'i wyrth,
  O fewn dy byrth, merch Sïon.

Why? Who, O God, whom have I,
  But thee in the heavens?
Nothing would I desire beside thee,
  While serving earthly places.

My heart, and my strength, and my flesh,
  Are in decline daily;
But thou, God, art on my side,
  And my shield forever.

I will come right next to my God,
  My hope he is to my heart,
I will expound his strength and his wonder,
  Within thy portals, daughter Zion.

25 Whom then in heav'n, but thee alone, 
     have I, whose favour I require
   Throughout the spacious earth there's none 
     that I besides thee can desire.

26 My trembling flesh and acing heart 
     may often fail to, succour me,
   But God shall inward strength impart,
     And my eternal portion be.

28 But as for me, 'tis good and just
     that I should still to God repair;
   In him I always put my trust,
     and will His wondrous works declare.
