Pan fo gwrthddrychau'r byd yn ffoi

1,2,3,(4).
(Y Cyfaill goreu)
Pan fo gwrthddrychau'r byd yn ffoi,
  Ac yn diflannu'n ddim,
Mae genyf gyfaill anwyl hoff,
  A bery'n ffyddlawn im'.

Ac er i mi ei adael Ef,
  Parhau wnai Ef yr un;
Rhyfeddol ei ffyddlondeb pur
  I mi, annheilwng ddyn.

Gwrandawodd gri pechadur gwael,
  Ddarfu ddistrywio'i hun!
Mi ymddiriedaf bellach mwy
  Yn Iesu'r ffyddlawn un.

Tragwyddol glod i'r anwyl Oen
  A laddwyd ar y pren;
Efe sy deilwng o bob clod,
  Boed arnaf byth yn ben.
Ac er i mi ei adael Ef :: Er im' ei fynych adael Ef
Parhau wnai Ef :: Parhau mae Ef
Gwrandawodd :: Fe wrendy
Ddarfu ddistrywio'i hun :: Er mwyn ei angeu'i hun
Mi ymddiriedaf bellach mwy :: A minau ymddiriedaf mwy

(The best Friend)
When the objects of the world be fleeing,
  And disappearing to nothing,
I have a dear, fond friend,
  Who will remain faithful to me.

And although I leave Him,
  Remain He will the same;
Wonderful his pure faithfulness
  To me, an unworthy man.

He heard the cry of a wretched sinner,
  Destruction itself expired!
I will trust henceforth forever
  In Jesus the faithful one.

Eternal praise to the dear Lamb
  Who was slain on the tree;
He is worthy of all praise,
  May he forever be my head.
And although I leave Him :: Although I often leave Him
Remain He will :: Remaining is He
He heard :: He hears
Destruction itself expired :: For the sake of his own death
I will trust henceforth forever more :: And I will trust forever more
