Pan y'n poenir gan elynion Tra yn tystio dros y gwir, Arglwydd, cyfod ein golygon I oleuni'r nefol dir; Anfon beth o bur ddisgleirdeb A gogoniant gwlad yr hedd, I lewyrchu ar ein gwyneb, A goleuo byd a bedd. Dyro'th Ysbryd i'n sancteiddio, A'n meddianau oll yn lān, Dysg in' garu a bendithio Ein gelynion fawr a mān; Er i'th Eglwys mewn cystuddiau Gael ei mathru gan y byd, Ffrydied cariad Crist o'i chlwyfau Yn afonydd glān o hyd. Dyro ini ffydd i graffu, Megys Stephan, tua'r nef, Nes cael golwg lawn at Iesu - Golwg fel a gafodd ef - Ffyddiog edrych arno'n eiriol Drosom ar y ddeheu law, Er ein dwyn yn waredigol Ato'i Hun i'r ochr draw. Tra yn tystio :: Wrth in dystio Ellis Roberts (Elis Wyn o Wyrfai) 1827-95

When we are pained by enemies While witnessing for the truth, Lord, raise our sights To the light of the heavenly land; Send something of the pure radiance And glory of the country of peace, To shine on our faces, And lighten world and grave. Grant thy Spirit to sanctify us, And to possess us wholly, Teach us to love and bless Our enemies great and small; Though thy Church in afflictions Get trampled by the world, Let the love of Christ flow from his wounds In holy streams always. Grant us faith to gaze, Like Stephen, towards heaven, Until getting a full sight on Jesus - A sight like he got - Hopefully looking upon him interceding For us at the right hand, In order to lead in deliverance To Himself to yonder side.
