Plant bach deddwyd ydym beunydd

Plant bach deddwyd ydym beunydd,
  Mor ddedwydd ym yn byw!
Nis gallwn fod yn amgen byth
  A ninnau'n blant i Dduw.
Mae Duw mor dirion wrth Ei blant,
  A'i serch mor fawr o hyd,
Mae'r rhai sy'n nabod Duw yn Dad
  Yn ddedwydd iawn bob pryd.

Plant bach diwyd ydym hefyd,
  Mae gennym waith bob awr,
I fod fel blodau'r ardd yn dlws,
  Gan berarogli'r llawr:
A bod yn dyner iawn wrth bawb,
  A helpu pawb wrth fyw; -
Pob gweithred iawn, bob dydd a wnawn,
  Sy'n cael ei gweld gan Dduw.

Plant bach ydym sy'n pryderu
  Am wneud yn hyn sydd iawn;
I blant fel ni nid hawdd yw hyn,
  A methu'n fynych wnawn:
Ond ymdrech plentyn wêl ein Duw,
  Os ato trown mewn ffydd;
Rhydd Ef y dawn i wneud yn iawn,
  A'n gwaith yn llwyddiant fydd.

Plant bach ydym sy'n ddiolchgar -
  Nis gallwn lai na bod;
Mae rhoddion Duw o'r nefoedd fry
  Bob dydd i ni yn dod:
Mor fawr y carodd Duw ei blant,
  Nes rhoi Ei Fab Ei hun,
I fuw a marw er ein mwyn,
  I'n dwyn i'r nef bob un!

Tôn [8686D]: Plant bach Dedwydd (C E Lowe <1899)

Happy little children are we daily,
  So happy are we to be alive!
We cannot ever be in need
  While we are children to God.
God is so tender towards His children,
  And his affection always so great,
Those who know God as a Father are
  Very happy all the time.

Diligent little children are we also,
  We have work every hour,
To be pretty like the garden flowers,
  Giving a sweet smell to the earth:
And being very tender towards all,
  And helping all while living; -
Every right action, every day that dawns,
  Is getting seen by God.

Little children are we who are concerned
  To do what is right;
To children like us this is not easy,
  And we do fail often:
But the attempt of a child our God sees,
  If we turn to him in faith;
He will give the gift to make right,
  And our work will be successful.

Little children are we who are grateful -
  We cannot be any less;
God's gifts from heaven above
  Come to us every day:
So greatly God loved His children,
  That he gave His Son Himself,
To live and die for our sake,
  To lead us to heaven every one!
