Pwy glywodd am bechadur?

(Gobeithio yng Nghrist)
Pwy glywodd am bechadur,
  Mewn unrhyw oes na gwlad,
Erioed ddaeth at yr Iesu
  Fu farw wrth Ei draed?
Ni thyr y gorsen ysig -
  Ni wrthyd neb a ddaw,
Ni ddiffydd lin yn mygu -
  Af ato yn ddi-fraw.

Mi glywais sôn amdano,
  Mi glywais lawer gwaith,
Fod ynddo drugareddau
  Sydd fwy na'r moroedd maith:
Yn disgwyl am drugaredd
  Wrth D'orsedd byth y'm cair;
Os trengi wnaf, mi drengaf
  A'm gobaith yn ei air.
Thomas William 1761-1844

gwelir:
  O Dduw 'rwy'n anobeithio
 Pwy glywodd son am neb erioed

(Hoping in Christ)
Who heard of a sinner,
  In any age or land,
Ever who came to Jesus
  Who died at His feet?
He will not break the shaking reed -
  He will not reject one who comes,
Nor extinguish smoking flax -
  I will go to him without fear.

I heard mention of him,
  I heard many times,
That in him are mercies
  Which are more than the vast seas:
Waiting for mercy
  At Thy throne forever we are to be found;
If I shall die, I shall die
  With my hope in his word.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion
