Pwy wela'i 'nawr ar arffed/liniau Mair?

Pwy wela'i 'nawr ar liniau Mair?
Ai person yr anfeidrol Air!
Yn cael ei feithrin yn y cnawd?
Tywysog hedd, rhyfeddol iawn!
Duw cadarn, a'i anfeidrol ddawn,
  I bechaduriaid gwael yn Frawd.

Crëawdwr a Chynaliwr nef
A gair ei nerth, yn wan ei lef,
A môr o gyfoeth mawr tan gudd:
Dechreuad crëadigaeth Duw,
Llawenydd bywyd pob peth byw,
Mewn preseb gyda'i fam yn brudd.

Ai Arglwydd yr angelion glan -
Ai testun eu tra'wyddol gân,
A wela'i mewn fath dlodi mawr?
Ai gwir fod holl
    digolion nef,
Yn llu, yn ei addoli Ef
Yn Bethle'm, ar y boreu wawr?

At bwy o bendefigion byd,
Y daeth y fath newyddion drud?
  Ai ymerawdwyr daear fras?
Nage, ond i fueiliaid gwael
Cyhoeddwyd eni Iesu hael,
  O! gwelwch ryfeddodau'i ras!

Fe gofir am y preseb tlawd
Lle y gorweddodd Iesu'n Brawd,
  Yn faban, mewn cadachau gwael:
Ond trwy ei dlodi megis gwas,
Daeth anchwiliadwy olud gras,
  I bechaduriaid mawr i'w gael.

[Mesur: 888D]

Whom do I see now on Mary's lap?
Is it the person of the infinite Word!
Getting his upbringing in the flesh?
The Prince of peace, very wonderful!
The mighty God, with his infinite gift,
  To base sinners a Brother.

The Creator and Upholder of heaven
Whose word of power, is a weak cry,
And a great sea of wealth under cover:
The beginning of God's creation,
The joy of life of every living thing,
In a manger with his mother sad.

Is it the Lord of the holy angels -
Is it the theme of their eternal song,
That I see in such great poverty?
It is true that all the
    inhabitants of heaven,
As a host, are worshipping Him
In Bethlehem, at the break of dawn?

To whom of the nobles of the world,
Came such precious news?
Was it the emperors of the rich earth?
No, but to poor shepherds
The generous birth of Jesus was announced,
O see the wonders of his grace!

The poor manger will be remembered
Where Jesus lay as our Brother,
As a baby, in poor cloths:
But through his poverty like a servant,
Came the unsearchable wealth of grace,
  For great sinners to get.
