Rwy'n tynnu tuag ochor y dŵr
Rwy'n tỳnu tuag ochr y dŵr

(Y Cristion: ei Daith.)
'Rwy'n tynnu tuag ochor y dŵr,
  Bron gadael yr anial yn lân;
Mi glywais am goncwest y Gŵr
  A yfodd yr afon o'm blaen;
Fe dreiglodd y maen oedd dan sêl,
  Fe gododd y Cadarn i'r lan;
Fe'i caraf ef, deued a ddêl,
  Mae gobaith i'r
      truan a'r gwan.

Mi garaf f'Anwylyd o hyd,
  Fy Mhrynwr, fy Mhriod, a'm Pen,
O'r diwedd fe sugnodd fy mryd
  O'r ddaear i'r nefoedd uwch ben;
Gwyn fyd pe gorweddwn yn awr
  Yn llonydd yn ngwaelod fy medd,
Mi godwn ar doriad y wawr
  Yn fuan i weled ei wedd.

'Rwy'n teimlo gwir hiraeth bob dydd
  Am ddatod fy mhabell o'i lle,
A myn'd, fel aderyn, yn rhydd,
  Yn union i ganol y ne';
Ac esgyn mewn yno i blith
  Y dorf sydd a'u gwisgoedd yn wyn,
A chanu i'm Harglwydd i byth
  Fu farw ar Galfari fryn.

(The Christian: his Journey.)
I am drawing towards the waterside,
  Almost leaving the desert completely;
I heard about the conquest of the Man
  Who drank the river before me;
He rolled the stone that was sealed,
  The Strong One lifted up;
I will love him, come what may,
  There is hope for the
      wretched and the weak.

I will love my Beloved always,
  My Redeemer, my Spouse, and my Head,
In the end he attracted my attention
  From the earth to heaven above;
Blessed if I lay now
  Cheerfully in the bottom of my grave,
I would rise at the break of the dawn
  Soon to see his countenance.

I am feeling true longing every day
  To dismantle my tent from its place,
And go, like a bird, free,
  Directly to the centre of heaven;
And ascend into there amidst
  The throng that have white garments,
And are singing to my Lord forever
  Who died on Calvary hill.
