'Rwyf ar a cefnfôr mawr

'Rwyf ar y cefnfor mawr
  Yn rhwyfo am y lan
Mae'r nos yn enbyd, ond daw gwawr
  A hafan yn y man.

Ni chollir monof ddim
  Tra Iesu wrth y llyw
Ei ofal Ef a'i ddirfawr rym
  Am ceidw innau'n fyw.

Tangnefedd heb un don,
  Fy Ngheidwad dyro'n awr
Cerydda'r terfysg dan fy mron
  A bydd tawelwch mawr.

I am on the great high sea
  Rowing for the shore
The night is perilous, but dawn is coming
  And a harbour soon.

I shall not at all be lost
  While Jesus is at the helm
His care and his enormous force
  Shall keep me alive.

Peace without any wave,
  My Saviour gives now
He rebukes the tumult under my breast
  And there shall be a great stillness.
