Mae arnaf chwnt ymadaw, Iôr,
  Ac esgyn attat Ti,
I uno gyd â'r nefol gôr,
  Yn anthem Calfari.

I have grown weary of the world,
  Evil, horrible it is,
Paining my poor soul always,
  Without rest while ever I live;
I have a desire to depart, Lord,
  And ascend to thee,
To join with the heavenly choir,
  In the anthem of Calvary.
