(Bythol Fyd)
Rhifedi'r gwlith
    neu ser y nen,
Rhif gwellt y maes,
    rhif gwallt fy mhen,
  Pe'u lluosogid oll yn nghyd,
  Dŷnt ddim wrth oesoedd
    bythol fyd!

'Dyw oesoedd byd
   mo'r munud awr
Wrth feithder tragwyddoldeb mawr!
  O fewn i'r annherfynol dir
Bydd cartref f'enaid cyn bo hir.

Ac O paham yr wyf mor frol
A chwennych aros yma'n ol?
Ni wel y llesg ar lwybyr llaith
Byth yn rhy fuan ben ei daith.

(Everlasting World)
The sum of the dew,
or the stars of the sky,
The number of the straws of the field,
the number of the hairs of my head,
If they were multiplied all together,
They are not comparable to the ages
    of the everlasting world!

The ages of the world are not
of the minutes of an hour
Against the extent of great eternity!
  Within the boundless land
Will be the home of my soul before long.

And O why am I so boastful
And craving to stay behind here?
The weary never sees on the path of death
Ever too soon the end of his journey.
