Sail yr eiriolaeth fry o hyd

(Eiriolaeth Crist)
Sail yr eiriolaeth fry o hyd
  Yw'r aberth drud
      fu ar y groes;
Nid rhaid mwy
      golli gwaed i'r llawr,
  'Nol gwaed
      yr Abarth mawr a roes.

Bu farw ar Galfaria fryn,
  Gorweddodd yn y beddrod caeth;
Ond yn ei swydd mae'n eiriol fry,
  O'r carchar du mewn hedd y daeth.

Mae llef ei waed mewn uchel fri;
  Am Galfari bydd
      côf di-baid;
Ac eiriol mae
    ar orsedd nef,
  A gwrendy lef
      pob gwan wrth raid.

(The intercession of Christ)
The basis of the intercession above always
  Is the costly sacrifice
      that was on the cross;
There is no need any more
    to shed blood to the ground,
  After the blood
      of the great sacrifice he gave.

He died on Calvary hill,
  He lay in the captive tomb;
But in his office he is interceding above,
  From the black prison in peace he came.

The cry of his blood is in high renown;
  About Calvary there will be
      an unending memory,
And interceding he is
    on the throne of heaven,
  And listening to the cry
      of every weak one in need.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion
