Teithio 'mlaen mae Eglwys Iesu

(Yr Eglwys)
Teithio 'mlaen mae Eglwys Iesu,
  Megis hardd fanerog lu,
Gydag ysbryd Duw i'w nerthu,
  A galluoedd nef o'i thu;
Daw i fyny o'r anialwch
  Nes cyrhaeddyd Seion fryn;
Llawen fydd gan Ddwyfol degwch
  Yn ei disglair wisgoedd gwyn.

Yma mae mewn ofnau'n fynych,
  Herwydd gwawd a dicter byd,
Ond trwy ffydd y mae yn edrych
  At eu dwyfol Ben o hyd;
Ffyddlon fu,
    er erlid chwerw,
  I dystiolaeth fawr y Groes,
Cadwodd fydd y saint yn loyw,
  Megis gem o oes i oes.

Gwerthfawr yw yng ngolwg Iesu,
  Prynwyd hi â'i briod Waed,
Darostyngir twyll a gallu
  Ei gelynion dan ei thraed;
Haeddiant mawr ei Harchoffeiriad,
  Sydd yn eiriol yn y nef,
A gyflawna ei dymuniad
  Dros ei lanaf deyrnas Ef.

Cedwir hi mewn dirgel undeb -
  Undeb cariad, gobaith, ffydd,
A than lewyrch nefol burdeb
  Sy'n goleuo gwlad y dydd;
Ar hyd union ffordd gwirionedd
  Ysbryd Duw a'i harwain hi,
Mewn tawelwch a thangnefedd,
  Yng ngrym cariad Un yn Dri.

Arglwydd grasol, ar ei Hallor
  Ennyn eto'r nefol dân;
Iddi bydd yn gyfoeth didor
  Trwy oleuni'r Ysbryd Glân;
Tyrd i rwymo ei doluriau,
  Tywallt olew gras i lawr,
Oni ddelo'n iach, ryw fore,
  Adre'n un o'r cystudd mawr.

Tôn [8787D]: St Twrog (<1962)

(The Church)
Travelling onward is the Church of Jesus,
  Like a beautiful bannered host,
With the Spirit of God to strengthen her,
  With the powers of heaven on her side;
She shall come up from the desert
  Until Zion hill is reached;
Joyful she shall be under Divine fairness
  In her shining white garments.

He she is often in fears,
  Because of the world's scorn and ire,
But through faith she is looking
  Towards her divine Head always;
Faithful she was,
    despite bitter persecution,
  To the great testimony of the Cross,
She kept the faith of the saints radiantly,
  Like a gem from age to age.

Precious she is in the sight of Jesus,
  She was bought with his own Blood,
The deception and power of her enemies
  Are to be brought low under her feet;
The great merit of her Chief Priest,
  Who is now interceding in heaven,
Shall present her request
  For his most holy kingdom.

She is to be kept in a secret union -
  A union of love, hope, faith,
And under the gleam of heavenly purity
  Which is lighting the land of day;
Along the straight road of truth
  The Spirit of God leads her,
In quietness and peace,
  In the force of the love of One in Three.

Gracious Lord, upon her Altar
  Kindle again the heavenly fire;
For her to be an unbroken wealth
  Through the light of the Holy Spirit;
Come to bind up her sadnesses,
  Pour the oil of grace down,
Until she come safely, some morning,
  Home as one from the great affliction.
