Ti'r Archoffeiriad mawr ei ddawn

(Hiraeth am fwynhâd o Dduw - Rhan II)
Ti'r Archoffeiriad mawr ei ddawn,
Sydd o bob rhyw rinweddau'n llawn,
  Gwna fi fel perlau gwerthfawr drud,
  Yn fawr, yn anwyl, yn dy fryd.

Dy briod wyf, ac 'rwyf yn wan,
Dy unig nerth a'm deil i'r lan;
  Dy nerth a'th gariad, dyna hwy,
  Nid ofnaf ddim gelynion mwy.

Mi ddringa'r creigydd mawrion serth,
Mi gongcraf Satan trwy dy nerth;
  'Dyw eirth a llewod i mi'n ddim
  Pan bo dy freichiau i mi'n rym.

Os bydd dy galon gynnhes, gu,
Unwaith yn caru'm hysbryd i,
  'Does gofid bellach,
      nid oes gwae:
  Fath nefoedd ydyw dy fwynhau!

(Longing for the enjoyment of God - Part 2)
Thou High Priest of great ability,
Who art of all kinds of virtues full,
  Make me like precious, costly pearls,
  Greatly, dearly, in thy mind.

Thine own one I am, and I am weak,
Thy strength alone shall hold me up;
  Thy strength and thy love, here they are,
  I shall not fear any enemy any more.

I shall climb the great, steep rocks,
I shall conquer Satan through thy strength;
  Bears and lions are nothing to me
  When thy arms be a force for me.

If thy warm, dear heart is
Once loving my spirit,
  There is no longer and grief,
      there is no woe:
  Like heaven it is to enjoy thee!
