Tu draw i rydiau'r afon ddû

(Y Nefoedd)
Tu draw i rydiau'r afon ddû
  A thònau'r marwol fôr,
Mae'r etifeddiaeth deg ei gwedd,
  Bwrcasodd f'Arglwydd Iôr:
Gorphwysfa'r pererinion blin,
  'Rol teithio'r dyffryn dû,
A dedwydd gartref pawb o'r saint,
  Lle mae pob braint a bri.

Mae yno bob hyfrydol ddawn,
  A bwrdd yn llawn i'r llu,
A phawb yn canu am y Groes,
  A'r loes ar Galfari;
Heb glwyf na chlefyd yn eu mysg,
  Na therfysg o un rhyw;
A sẁn anhyfryd
    maes y gwaed,
  Yn mhell, yn mhell a'u clyw.

Amlygir yno'n eglur iawn,
  Ddirgelion yn ddiri';
Gwybodaeth sydd o'r rhyfedd rin,
  Sef undeb Un yn Dri;
Deallir dyben Duw yn ngwaith
  Ei ddoeth ragluniaeth fawr,
A myrdd o ryfeddodau mwy
  Nas gwyddom ni yn awr.

(Heaven)
Beyond the streams of the black river
  And the waves of the mortal sea,
Is the fair looking inheritance,
  That my Sovereign Lord purposed:
The resting place of the weary pilgrim,
  After travelling the black vale,
And the happy home of all the saints,
  Where is every privilege and honour.

There is there every delightful gift,
  And a table full for the throng,
And everyone singing about the cross,
  And the anguish on Calvary;
Without wound or illness among them,
  Or tumult of any kind;
And the unpleasant sound
    of the field of blood,
  Far, far from their hearing.

To be made obvious then very clearly,
  Are innumerable secrets;
Knowledge that is of the wonderful merit,
  That is the unity of One in Three;
Understood shall be the purpose of God in
  The work of his great wise providence,
And a myriad of wonders more
  Than we know now.
