Tyr'd Ysbryd/Yspryd Glân O tyr'd yn glau

Tyr'd, Ysbryd Glân, O! tyr'd yn glau!
  Meddianna'n henaid byw;
Gwreiddyn yr hen prophwydol ddawn,
 A ffynnon cariad gwiw.

Tyr'd, Ysbryd Glân, trwy'th ddoniau ca'dd
  Prophwydi Duw eu dawn:
Yr allwedd wyt, O agor in'
  Bur eiriau'r nef yn llawn.

Dy ddoniau glân fo'n chwalu'n glau
  Y t'wyllwch ynom sydd:
Dy lewyrchiadau llon a dry
  Ein tywell nos yn ddydd.

Cawn trw'ot Ti adnabod Duw,
  Os t'wyni ynom ni;
A seinio wnawn, tra byddom byw,
  Ddyfnderoedd cariad cu.

Come, Holy Spirit, O come quickly!
  Possess our living soul;
The root of the old prophetic gift
  And worthy fountain of love.

Come, Holy Spirit, through thy gifts the
  Prophets of God got their gift:
The key thou art, O open to us
  The pure words of heaven fully.

Thy holy gifts be scattering quickly
  The darkness that is in us:
Thy cheerful radiance shall turn
  Our dark night into day.

We may get through thee to know God,
  If thou shine in us;
And sound we shall, while ever we live,
  The depths of dear love.

Come, Holy Ghost, our hearts inspire,
  Let us Thine influence prove:
Source of the old prophetic fire,
  Fountain of life and love.

Come, Holy Ghost, for moved by Thee
  The prophets wrote and spoke;
Unlock the truth, Thyself the key,
  Unseal the sacred book.

Expand Thy wings, celestial Dove,
  Brood o'er our nature's night;
On our disordered spirits move,
  And let there now be light.

God, through Himself, we then shall know
  If Thou within us shine,
And sound, with all Thy saints below,
  The depths of love divine.
