Tra byddwyf yn nghlyw efengyl grâs Duw

(Sechareia ix. 12.)
Tra byddwyf yn nghlyw
    efengyl grâs Duw,
A'r drefn ddi-gyffelyb,
    mae'n bosib' cael byw:

  Er cymmaint fy nghlwy',
      mae'r Meddyg
            fyrdd mwy:
  Tu yma i'r gagendor,
      yw'r ochr yr wy'.

Mae gobaith iachâd,
    tra b'wyf yn y wlâd
Lle mae'r addewidion
    a'u rhoddion yn rhâd:

Cyn myned trwy'r glỳn,
    os f'Arglwydd a fỳn,
Mae môdd i gael cymmod;
    peth hynod yw hyn!

'Rwyf etto mewn gwlâd
    mae lle i gael gwellâd,
A phur iechydwriaeth
    mewn helaeth fwynhâd:

Tra b'wy'n nghyredd llêf
    ein Harglwydd o'r nêf,
Mae gobaith cael dyfod
    i gymmod âg ef:

F'archollion sy'n fawr
    aneirif yn awr;
Och fel yr anafais
    pan lithrais i lawr!

(Zechariah 9:12)
While I am hearing
    the gospel of God's grace,
And the unequalled plan,
    it is possible to get to live:

  Despite the extent of my wound,
      the Physician is
            a myriad times greater:
  This side of the gulf,
      is the side I am.

There is hope of healing,
    while ever I am in the land
Where there are promises
    and their free gifts:

Before going through the vale,
    if my Lord insists,
There is a way to get reconciliation;
    a remarkable thing is this!

I am still in a land
    with a place to get made better,
And pure salvation
    in extensive enjoyment:

While I am within reach of the cry
    of our Lord from heaven,
There is hope of getting to come
    to reconciliation with him:

My wounds are great
    unnumbered now;
Oh how I was wounded
    when I slipped down!
