Trugaredd gwêl o'r orsedd bur

?

(Trugaredd a gras)
Trugaredd gwêl o'r orsedd bur
  I wrthryfelwyr damniol,
Tragaredd rad ddiderfyn yw
  O fynwes Duw anfeidrol.

Gras yn teyrnasu'n gyfiawn yw,
  Holl degwch Duw'n dysglaerio
O'r nef, gan hyny dwyfol ras
  Sy'n addas enw iddo.

Dechreuad ei ledaeniad oedd
  Ar g'oedd o'r drefn drag'wyddol,
Pan ddaeth Duw'r Gair mewn dynol gnawd
  I ni'n wir frawd naturiol.

Perffeithiau'r dwyfol wyrthiau da
  Yn fwyaf a ganfuwyd,
O'i fodd pan ddyddefodd ef,
  A phan fu'r llef
      "Gorphenwyd".

Ac wedi ei gyfodi o'i fedd
  Gorfoledd o orchfygu,
Er pan mae ef ar orsedd fry
  Trugaredd sy'n teyrnasu.

Trugaredd rad yw hon o hyd,
  Adgyfyd blant digofaint,
Mewn llid fu'n rhoi coll farn yn rhwydd
  Ar Arglwydd y gogoniant.

Nid cyfiawn ŵr, ond euog ddyn,
  Gwael adyn, mae'n gofleidiaw;
Addurno'r tlawd yn brydferth iawn,
  A gyru'r llawn yn waglaw.

Os gwna marwolion guchio'n gas
  Ar rad "Ras a Thrugaredd",
Addefir pen-arglwyddiaeth hon
  Ar g'oedd gar bron yr orsedd.

Hyd ddydd i gwrdd y dedwydd gôr,
  Trugaredd a fo'r folawd;
Ac ni bydd mwyach
    tynach tant
  Yn y gogoniant uchawd.

Amen, medd y prophwydi i gyd,
  Epystyl yn cydbyngcio;
Amen yw'r llef drwy'r nef yn un,
  A daear sy'n cydseinio.

(Mercy and grace)
See mercy from the pure throne
  To condemned rebels,
Free, unending mercy it is
  From the bosom of the infinite God.

Grace reigning righteously it is,
  All God's fairness shining
From heaven, therefore divine grace
  Is its appropriate name.

The beginning of its spreading was
  Announced from the eternal plan,
When God the Word came in human flesh
  To us as a truly natural brother.

The perfections of the divine good miracles
  Principally were found,
When he suffered voluntarily,
  And when there was the cry
      "It is finished".

And after he rose from the grave
  Jubilation from triumphing,
Although when he is on the throne above
  It is mercy that is reigning.

Free mercy this is still,
  That shall raise the children of wrath,
In anger who were condemning readily
  The Lord of glory.

Not a righteous man, but guilty humanity,
  A base offender, it is embracing;
Adorning the poor very beautifully,
  And driving the full away empty-handed.

If mortals scowl hatefully
  At free "Grace and Mercy",
This over-lordship is owned
  Publicly before the throne.

Until the day for meeting the happy choir,
  Mercy shall be the eulogy;
And there shall never be
    any more tuneful string
  In the glory above.

Amen, say all the prophets,
  Apostles chanting together;
Amen is the cry throughout heaven as one,
  With earth which is harmonizing.
