Wel dyma ddydd addoli a moli'r Arglwydd mawr

(Am y Sabbath)
Wel dyma ddydd addoli,
    a moli'r Arglwydd mawr,
Mae'n weddus iawn i ninnau
    roi bawb ei liniau i lawr;
  A gwaeddi tu a'r nefoedd
      yn gyhoedd bod ag un,
  Am Yspryd Crist i'n dysgu,
      fel teulu'n fwy cyttun.

Hwn ydyw'r Sabbath sanctaidd,
    mae'n weddaidd yma'n wir,
I'r Arglwydd gael i'w barchu
    bob teulu yn y tir;
  Ac heddyw'n fwy cyhoeddus,
      a pharchus iawn trwy ffydd,
  Yn ol yr Ysgrythyrau,
      â'u hynod siamplau sydd.

Boed Sabbath (Sanct) yr Arglwydd,
    byth er ein llwydd, a'n lles,
Sef er ein dwyn yn dyner,
    o nifer rhai fo nes
  I gael y fuddugoliaeth
      ar annghrediniaeth oll,
  Trwy 'nabod mwy o'r Iesu,
      a'i garu yn ddi goll.

Ti roddaist Sabbath ini
    addoli yn ddïau,
Ac ini at dy fawredd
    mewn symledd gael nesâu;
  O dyro d'Yspryd hefyd
      i'n dysgu o hyd y daith,
  Trwy'n gwnethur yn fwy medrus
      a gweddus yn y gwaith.

Er ini gael Sabbathau
    i ddarllen d'eiriau di,
Rhy ddeillion a rhy gnawdol,
    anianol fyddwn ni;
  Ac oni chawn dy Yspryd,
      da, hefyd di dy hun,
  Ni chei, ond rhith ogoniant,
      yn bendant gan bob un.

[Mesur: 13.13.13.13]

(About the Sabbath)
See here is the day of worshipping,
    and praising the great Lord,
It is very appropriate for us
    all to put down his knees;
  And shout towards the heavens
      publishing that he has one,
  Wanting the Spirit of Christ to teach us,
      like a family more united.

This is the holy Sabbath,
    it is fitting here truly,
For the Lord to get to revere him
    every family in the land;
  And today more publicly,
      and very reverential through faith,
  According to the scriptures,
      and their notable examples which there are.

Let the (Holy) Sabbath of the Lord be,
    forever for our success and our benefit,
That is to lead us tenderly,
    from a number of those that be nearer
  To get the victory
      over all unbelief,
  Through knowing more of Jesus,
      and loving him unfailingly.

Thou gavest a Sabbath for us
    to worship doubtless,
And for us to thy majesty
    in simplicity to get to approach;
  And grant thy Spirit also
      to teach us along the journey,
  Through making us more able
      and more worthy in the work.

For us to get Sabbaths
    to read thy words,
Too blind and too carnal,
    natural we would be;
  And unless we get thy good
      Spirit, also thee thyself
  Thou wilt only get an illusion of glory,
      peculiar to each one.
tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion
