Here pain and grief we may have, Here meet to part we do; Not thus in heaven. O, this will be lovely! Lovely, lovely, lovely; O, this will be lovely! - To meet without ever parting any more! Everyone who here is loving God, After dying they will get to live, And sing in heaven. Everyone who has experienced the grace and peace Of Jesus, they shall get to see his countenance, And sing unto him forever. Godly and holy children Who pray, go there, From all the Sunday Schools. The children who seek Him shall get, To go to Him up in heaven, From all the Sunday Schools. Our gracious and generous teachers, And our parents there shall be, For ever rejoicing. We shall get to meet above the earth The apostles of great Jesus, Worshipping him. O how happily we will get to live, When we get to see worthy Jesus On his throne above! There we will get to sing forever, In pure, unfailing joy, To Christ, the Sovereign Lord. :: To see the ... Deliverer :: When we get to see ... Jesus There we will get to ... :: We will get to ... there In glory :: In joy the Sovereign Lord :: our Lord tr. 2016,23 Richard B Gillion |
Here we suffer grief and pain, Here we meet to part again, In Heav'n we part no more. Oh! that will be joyful! Joyful, joyful, joyful! Oh! that will be joyful! When we meet to part no more. All who love the Lord below, When they die to Heav'n will go, And sing with saints above. Little children will be there, Who have sought the Lord by prayer, From every Sunday school. Teachers, too, shall meet above, And our pastors, whom we love, Shall meet to part no more. O! how happy we shall be! For our Saviour we shall see, Exalted on His throne! There we all shall sing with joy, And eternity employ In praising Christ the Lord. 1831-2 Thomas Bilby 1794-1872
