Yn adgyfodiad Iesu

Yn adgyfodiad Iesu,
  Eglurwyd dwyfol allu,
Malurio pyrth y bedd a wnaeth,
  A'r angau caeth yn trengu.

Yr hwn fu gynt yn gwaedu,
  Dros byth sydd yn teyrnasu,
A'r holl alluoedd, nef a llawr
  A'r angau mawr yn trengu.

Er iddo gael ei gladdu,
  A'r gwylwyr i'w amgylchu,
Yn rhydd y trydydd dydd y daeth,
  A'r angau caeth yn trengu.

Boed ini orfoleddu,
  Gan iddo ef orchfygu;
Mae'r fuddugoliaeth ini'n awr,
  A'r angau mawr yn trengu.

Na fid i'r saint anghredu
  Ei nerthol hollol allu;
Fe gwyd eu llwch i gyd o'r llawr,
  A'r angau mawr yn trengu.

Gan iddo ef eu prynu,
  Fe fyn eu gogoneddu;
Mae porth y bedd yn rhydd yn awr,
  A'r angau mawr raid drengu.

Mae'r amser yn dynesu,
  Daw'r saint o'r bedd i fyny,
Cānt orphwys
    gyda Christ eu pen,
  Amen, Amen am hyny.

In the resurrection of Jesus,
  Divine power was made evident,
Destroying the gates of the grave he did,
  And the captive death perish.

He who once was bleeding.
  Forever is reigning,
And all the powers of heaven and earth
  And the great death perishing.

Although he was buried,
  And the guards to surround him,
Free on the third day he came,
  And the captive death perished.

Let us rejoice,
  Since he overcame;
The victory is to us now,
  And the great death perishing.

Let not the saints be unbelieving
  His strong complete power;
All their dust shall rise from the ground,
  And the great death perish.

Since he redeemed us,
  They shall glorify him;
The gates of the grave are free now,
  And the great death must perish.

The time is drawing near,
  The saints shall come up from the grave,
They shall get to rest
    with Christ their head,
  Amen, Amen therefore.
