Ystyriwch ie'nctyd gwych eich gwedd

1,(2),3;  1,2,3,4.
(Addysg i ieuenctyd)
Ystyriwch ie'nctyd gwych eich gwedd
Yr ewch chwi bawb i lwch y bedd;
  Mae diwedd prudd eich bywyd brau
  O awr i awr yn agosâu.
  [A diwedd prudd eich bywyd brau,
   Yn wastadsydd yn agosâu.]

'Does dim dedwyddwch gwir i'w gael,
Yn neb o'ch gwag arferion gwael:
  Yn Nuw ei hun meddiannwch hedd,
  Tu yma a thu draw i'r bedd.

Yr Iesu gâr yr ie'nctyd gwiw
Sy'n mlodau'u dydd yn ofni Duw,
  A'r neb a'i cais e'n awr sy'n cael
  Hapusrwydd hir, a bywyd hael.

Os mynwch ddianc
    rhag llid Duw,
Gadewch y ffol a byddwch fyw;
  Anfeidrol yw'r llawenydd sy'
  Yn ffafor Duw, a'i gariad cu.

(The education of the young)
Consider, ye young of brilliant countenance,
Ye are all going to the dust of the grave;
  The sad end of your fragile life is
  From hour to hour approaching.
  [And the sad end of your fragile life,
   Which is constantly approaching.]

There is no true happiness to be got,
In any of the bad, empty practices:
  In God himself possess-ye peace,
  This side and yonder side of the grave.

Jesus loves the worthy youth
Who are as flowers of their day fearing God,
  And anyone who asks him now is getting
  Long happiness, and generous life.

If you are determined to escape
    from God's anger,
Leave the foolishness and you will live;
  Immeasurable is the joy there is
  In the favour of God, and his dear love.
