Yn nghanol gorthrymderau Y trigwn yn y byd; Ac am gymdeithas Iesu Yr wylwn lawer pryd; Ond yn y wlad tudraw i'r bedd Cawn yn wastadol weld ei wedd. Ar ol helbulus deithio I sanctaidd dŷ ein Tad, A chyrraedd adre i Ganaan O'r ddyrys anial wlad: Mor felys yn dragwywydd fydd Cael bod o'n holl flinderau'n rhydd! Cawn roi ffarwel i bechod, 'R ol mynd i'r bywyd draw; A'n gwynfyd byth ni thorrir Gan dristwch, poen, na braw. Cawn dreulio tragwyddoldeb mwy I foli'r Hwn gadd farwol glwy.J Gwyndud Jones 1831-1926 Tôn [767699]: Emyn Hwyrol (John B Dykes 1823-76) |
In the midst of afflictions We dwell in the world; And for the fellowship of Jesus We cry many a time; But in the land beyond the grave We shall get constantly to see his face. After troublesome travelling To our Father's sacred house, And arriving home to Canaan From the tricky desert land: How sweet eternally shall be To get to be from our griefs free! We may bid farewell to sin, After going to the life yonder; And our blessedness is never to be broken By sadness, pain, nor terror. We may spend an eternity evermore To praise Him who received a mortal wound.tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion |
