Ym mhob cyfyngder du

(Salm 20 - Rhan I - Enw Duw Jacob a'th ddiffynno)
Ym mhob cyfyngder du,
  Iôr, gwrando fry fy llef;
A'th enw mawr — Duw Jacob yw,
  A'm cadwo'n fyw i'r nef.

O'th lŷs cyssegrlan llon,
  O anfon gymmorth im';
I nerthu'm henaid dan ei groes,
  O Sïon moes im' rym.

Mewn côf, fel aberth pêr,
  Y byddo, Nêr, fy mawl;
A'm gweddi doed, fel offrwm glân,
  O'th fla'n i dir y gwawl.

Dymuniad f'enaid yw
  Cael iechyd Duw i'm rhan,
O estyn imi hyn o'r nen,
  A dal fy mhen i'r lan.

Gorfoledd f'enaid drud
  Fo yn dy iechyd byth;
A'm gweddi, - "Pob dymuniad da
  Cyflawna, Iôr dilŷth."

gwelir: Rhan II - Tra mae teyrnasoedd dig y byd

(Psalm 20 - Part 1 - The name of the God of Jacob will defend thee)
In every black strait,
  Lord, listen above to my cry;
And thy great name - the God of Jacob it is,
  Will keep me alive for heaven.

From the court of thy cheerful sanctuary,
  O send help to me;
To strengthen my soul under its cross,
  From Zion give me strength.

In memory, like a sweet sacrifice,
  Be thou, Master, my praise;
And may my prayer come, like a holy offering,
  Before thee in the land of light.

The wish of my heart is
  To get the health of God for my portion,
O extend to me this from the sky,
  And hold my head up.

The joy of my precious soul
  Be in thy health forever;
And my prayer, "Every good wish
  Fulfill thou, unfailing Lord."
