Yn mywyd pur ein Iesu da

Yn mywyd pur ein Iesu da,
  Esiampl berffaith gaed;
Ni ellir colli'r ffordd i'r nef
  Wrth ddilyn ôl ei draed.

Yn fanwl iawn cyflwnodd Ef
  Ofynion cyfraith Duw:
Ufudd-ddod llawn a ddysgodd, drwy
  Ddioddefaint gwaetha'i ryw.

Ewyllys fawr ei Dad a wnaeth,
  Ac nid ei eiddo'i Hun:
Llwyr anrhydeddodd fwriad Duw
  Yn iachawdwriaeth dyn.

Fel Oen yr aeth i ben y bryn,
  Dan wawd y safai'n fud;
Ei Hunan nis gwaredodd Ef,
  Er gwared euog fyd.

In the pure life of good Jesus,
  A perfect example is found;
The road to heaven cannot be lost
  While following his footprints.

In great detail He fulfilled
  The demands of the law of God:
Full obedience he learned, through
  Suffering of the worst kind.

The great will of his Father he did,
  And not His own:
He completely honoured God's purpose
  In the salvation of man.

Like a Lamb he went to the top of the hill,
  Under mockery he stood mute;
Himself He did not deliver,
  In order to deliver a guilt world.
