Ymddarostyngwn dàn law Duw

(Tymmor sych)
Ymddarostyngwn dàn law Duw:
Fe ddichon eto'n cadw'n fyw;
  Er ini haeddu gŵg y nef,
  Mae aml ymwared gydag Ef.

Cyfranwr mawr y gwlith a'r gwlaw,
A phob rhyw fendith
    ini ddaw,
  O! cofia'n daear, clyw ein llef,
  I'w mwydo â chawodydd nef.

Yr y'm yn beiddio gofyn hyn -
Ein holl gamweddau ymaith tỳn;
  Bydd foddlawn ini byth er mwyn
  Dy unig Fab, a gwrando'n cŵyn.

O! gwlawia ar y crindir crâs
Iachâ ein llesgedd trwy Dy ras;
  Adfywia ein heneidiau gwyw,
  Fel y moliannom Di, ein Duw.

(A dry Season)
Let us humble ourselves under God's hand:
He is sufficient still to keep us alive;
  Although we deserve the frown of heaven,
  There is frequent deliverance with him.

The great provider of the dew and the rain,
And every kind of blessing
    that comes to us,
  O remember our earth, hear our cry!
  To moisten it with the showers of heaven.

We are daring to ask this -
All our mistakes take away;
  Be favourable to us forever for the sake
  Of thy only Son, and hear our complaint.

O rain upon the arid, parched land
Heal our feebleness through Thy grace;
  Revive our wilting souls
  That we may praise Thee, our God.
tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion
