Ymhlith terfysglyd donnau'r môr

(Gweddi ar y Môr)
Ymhlith terfysglyd donnau'r môr
  Ein Harglwydd Iôr addolwn;
A phan ymhell o glyw pob dyn
  Ar Dduw Ei hun y galwn.

Y Duw sy'n gweld yr adar to
  Yn syrthio dan eu nychdod,
A gofia'i blant
    lle bynnag bônt,
  Pan ato trônt mewn trallod.

I'th ofal Di, ein Harglwydd mwyn,
  Yr ymgyflwynwn heno;
Ein Ceidwad ffyddlon ydwyt Ti,
  Ac ni'n gadewi'n ango'.

(Prayer on the Sea)
Amidst the tumult of the sea's waves
  Our Sovereign Lord let us worship;
And when far from every man's hearing
  On God himself we shall call.

The God who sees the sparrows
  Falling under their debility,
Shall remember his children
    wherever they be,
  When unto him they turn in trouble.

To Thy care, our gentle Lord,
  We present ourselves tonight;
Our faithful Saviour art Thou,
  And Thou wilt not forget us.
tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion
