Yn loew lamp gwna fi, O Dduw!
I glir lewyrchu tra b'wyf byw;
  Neu'n seren glaer yn t'w'nu fry
  I arwain pawb at Iesu cu.

Gwna fi yn gân, i lawenhau
Y rhai sy'n awr yn prudd dristâu -
  Cân calon foddlon,
    hyder ffydd,
  Ymlidia i ffwrdd bob tristwch prudd.

Gwna f'oes yn emyn dlôs, O Dduw!
Bob dydd yn llawn o fawl wrth fyw:
  Ac yn y diwedd f'enaid i
  Ar edyn mawl esgynno fry!

A bright lamp make me, O God!
To gleam clearly while ever I live;
  Or a clear star shining above
  To lead everyone to dear Jesus.

Make me a song, to cheer
Those who are now sadly sorrowing -
  The song of a willing,
    bold, faithful heart,
  That chases away every sad sorrow.

Make my life a pretty hymn, O God!
Every day full of praise while living:
  And at the end, my soul
  On wings of praise shall mount above!

God make my life a little light
  Within the world to glow;
A little flame that burneth bright,
  Wherever I may go.

God make my life a little song
  That comforteth the sad
That helpeth others
    to be strong,
  And makes the singer glad.

God make my life a little hymn
  Of tenderness and praise,
Of faith, that never waxeth dim,
  In all His wondrous ways.
