Yn y dyfnder wele fi

Yn y dyfnder wele fi,
  Heb fwyniant gwenau nef
Arglwydd grasol clyw fy nghri,
  Tosturia wrth fy llef,
Anfon ataf air dy hedd
  Dy fod yn maddau meiau'n llawn
Yna melys gweld dy wedd
  A chael dy hyfryd ddawn.

Fel y gwyiwr ar y mur,
  Yn disgwyl bore wawr,
Wele finnau yn fy nghur
  Yn ceisio f'Arglwydd mawr;
Diogel fyddaf yn dy law
  Tra'r môr yn cuddio'r bryniau ban
Pan bo'r ddaear oll mewn braw
  Ti, Arglwydd, fydd fy rhan.

In the depth see me,
  Without enjoying heaven's smile
Gracious Lord hear my cry,
  Take pity at my shout,
Send to me the world of thy peace
  That thou art forgiving my faults fully
Then sweetly see thy countenance
  And get thy delightful gift.

Like the watcher on the wall,
  Waiting for the morning dawn,
See me in my pain
  Seeking my great Lord;
Safe I shall be in thy hand
  While the sea is covering the hill tops
While the earth be all in terror
  Thou, Lord, shall be my portion.
