Yr Aberth mawr fu ar y groes

(Digonolrwydd aberth y groes)
Yr Aberth mawr fu ar y groes,
Sydd ddigon im'
    dan bob ryw loes;
  Dyddanu wna fy enaid gwan,
  A'i ddwyn o'r dyfnder mawr i'r làn.

Mae hedd o Sinai heddyw'n d'od,
Lle bu'r taranu mwya erioed;
  Ac enfys am yr orsedd sydd,
  Yn gwa'dd yn mlaen fy enaid prudd.

Anfeidrol gariad Iesu mawr,
At wael annheilwng
    lwch y llawr,
  Sydd heddyw yn llewyrchu i maes,
  Ogoniant ei drag'wyddol ras.

O boed ei Enw yn uchel iawn,
A seiniwn byth ei glod yn llawn;
  A boed pob calon dan y nef,
  Yn gyflwynedig iddo Ef.

(The sufficiency of the sacrifice of the cross)
The great Sacrifice that was on the cross,
Is sufficient for me
    under every kind of anguish;
  Comforted was my weak soul,
  And brought from the great depth up.

The peace of Sinai today is coming,
Where the greatest ever thunders were;
  And a rainbow for the throne which is,
  Inviting forward my sad soul.

The immeasurable love of great Jesus,
Towards the poor, unworthy
    dust of the ground,
  Which today is radiating out,
  The glory of his eternal grace.

O may his Name be very high,
And let us sound forever his acclaim fully;
  And may every heart under heaven be,
  Dedicated unto Him.
